Had a great time with BMWDFW motorcycle club. Base camp was at the Queen Wilhelmina State Park Lodge. Dinner was on point with the CASA of the Ouachita region at their campsite. Weather was great and our Tourmeister took us through some amazing roads, twisties, hair pins, and several scenic locations.
Beautiful Fall Colors Ride from Dallas to Arkansas
One Lens, One Focal Length Challenge Day 1
Yesterday was day one of the photo one lens, one focal length challenge. I have to say it was an interesting moto ride trying to find locations around Dallas. Although I rushed taking the shots, I like the final result. For day two, I will scout more locations and take my time. Instead of taking pictures of my bike, day two would focus on street photography.
An April Ride
I cannot say this enough. Man, I love to out on the open road.
Loving the Sunset
There is nothing like riding around, feeling the wind & enjoying mother nature. This morning we had a huge nasty storm come through & clear skies by noon. I took this as a sign to jump on the GS & ride around my home.
Laid-Off due to COVID-19
Yesterday I received a call to let me know I was laid-off due to the COVID-19 impact. For those that don’t know, I am a disabled US Marine Corps combat veteran and FMR Dallas Police Officer. I had retired once before at an early age. My entrepreneur drive has always kept me busy.
What do I do with the free time that I now have? I jump on my bike with a camera around my neck and ride around the city. Stay safe everyone.
Someone's Peaceful Place
One thing I love about Dallas is that the city is full of artist. This skyline is someone’s peaceful place.
Saturday Ride Around Town
Sometimes all you need is a nice ride and a little off-roading. Dallas will always be home sweet home. This COVID-19 quarantine is serious but the my passion for photography and riding will not stop. Do what you love.
Quarantine Cabin Fever
After being home stuck in quarantine, due to the COVID-19 spread, I thought I would be ok. I felt so anxious that I had to go for a ride. What can I say, it was a nice day out. I left the house with my camera around my neck and rode down Mt. Creek. While there I pulled into Dallas Baptist University. It was a beautiful short ride with great views. Just what I needed.
Rainy Day
With this quarantine I figured I could still ride around the city. Well, not today. Not only is it raining, the huge storm left us without power. Hey, at least I was able to hem my new Klim riding jeans before the power went out.
San Antonio Meeting
Left Dallas, TX at 4 AM enroute to San Antonio. I had to stop at Buc-ee’s in Temple, TX. The weather was super eerie and had to capture the moment. Because of the COVID-19 mandated quarantine, Buc-ee’s had an employee at each section sanitizing everything the customers touched. It feels like a video game, something out of The Last of Us.
First Blog
Since I purchased my motorcycle in February it has become my primary vehicle. I primarily shoot with a Canon 5D mark IV for work. I recently picked up the new Fuji X100V which has become my personal travel and everyday camera.
